„PIG IN A POKE” SYNDROME IN INFORMATION SOCIETY

Summary

The authoresses tried to identify the current status of information society in Poland and directions of its development in the context of world economic, social and political crisis.
The crucial reference point was the “Poland 2030. Development challenge” strategy, which was used by the authoresses to verify the delusion and utopia of vision and mission of information society development strategy in Poland. Unfortunately the regard of information society as the economic category has not excluded demagogy so that the authoresses invoked the objective perspective of “pig in a poke” (“cat in the sack”) syndrome as well as they indicated related pathologies of pedagogics and education.
