Streszczenie
W artykule został podjęty temat kapitału społecznego i jego wpływu na rozwój regionalny. Odpowiednie rozpoznanie potrzeb lokalnych organizacji społecznych jest niezbędne do stworzenia polityki współpracy mieszkańców i jednostek samorządu terytorialnego. Polityka zarządzania organizacją lokalną będzie efektem końcowym projektu prowadzonego przez autorkę artykułu.
W części empirycznej artykułu zaprezentowano wyniki pilotażowego badania ankietowego przeprowadzonego wśród 140 mieszkańców małych miast lub wsi znajdujących się na terenie województwa małopolskiego. Wyniki badania jasno pokazują, iż mieszkańcy dostrzegają zależność pomiędzy inicjatywami oddolnymi a rozwojem regionu. Respondenci opisywali organizacje, w których działają, swoje motywacje do działania oraz wyrażali opinię na temat przyczyn braku zaangażowania innych osób w prace na rzecz społeczności lokalnej.

SOCIAL CAPITAL OF LESSER POLAND DISTRICT RESIDENTS ON THE EXAMPLE OF LOCAL SOCIAL ORGANIZATIONS
Abstract
The article concerns social capital and its impact on regional development. Appropriate recognition of the needs of local community organizations is essential to create a cooperation
policy of residents and local government units. Local organization management policy will be the final result of a project conducted by the author of the article. In the empirical part of the article presents the results of a pilot survey of 140 residents of small towns or villages located in the Lesser Poland Voivodeship. The results of the study clearly show that residents perceive the relationship between grassroots initiatives and the development of the region. Respondents describe the organizations in which they operate and their motivations to act. They also express an opinion on the reasons for the lack of involvement of other people in the work for the local community.
