Streszczenie
W artykule przedstawiono przykłady polskich i zagranicznych kaW artykule przedstawiono ustawowe wymogi wdrażania w polskich warunkach unijnej dyrektywy dotyczącej koncepcji budowy systemu demontażu samochodów wycofanych z eksploatacji (SWE). Przedmiotem rozważań jest wskazanie priorytetowych celów tego systemu oraz sposobów ich osiągnięcia, jak również ocena aktualnego stanu implementacji przepisów unijnych do polskiego prawodawstwa. W treści artykułu wskazano na potencjalne zagrożenia oraz nieprawidłowości dotychczasowego funkcjonowania systemu.

THE MAIN AIMS OF DEVELOPING DISMANTING OF END LIFE VEHICLES SYSTEM
Summary
The number of end life cars increased within the last few years. It is connected with the high volume of imported cars. In the nearest future there should be created new dismantling stations in Poland. It is connected with the growing number of end life vehicles. The stations should comply with EU directives. The task of dismantling end life cars is becoming a serious problem for the environment. In Poland, over 1 million of end-of-life vehicles are to be managed annually. Material recycling is becoming increasingly competitive, as compared to acquiring materials from metal ores (natural resources). For a long time, Poland will continue to be a place where a considerable number of vehicles from Western Europe end their lives. Poland has exceptional chances of the development of the car recycling system and should take advantage of them!
