DETERMINANTS OF CORPORATE ENTREPRENEURSHIP IN COMPANIES OF ZACHODNIOPOMORSKIE VOIVODSHIP

Summary

As a result of political and economic transformation, the structure of Polish economy was subject to considerable changes. For ten or fifteen years, a well-developed sector of small enterprises has been functioning in the economy. Poland’s accession to the EU has provided Polish enterprises with easier access to new outlet markets and at the same time has opened Polish market for EU entities. Such a situation makes Polish SME adjust to demanding requirements of domestic and international markets, has an effect on entrepreneurship both as far as starting one’s own business activity and creating the entrepreneurial attitudes in the already functioning enterprises are concerned. Regardless of the sector, in order to become competitive Polish enterprises must develop their entrepreneurship and encourage their employees as well as business partners to be enterprising.
