Streszczenie
Celem niniejszego artykułu jest przedstawienie systemu zarządzania łańcuchem logistycznym oraz praktycznych problemów w zarządzaniu nim w przedsiębiorstwie X, produkującym farby proszkowe. Jedną z charakterystycznych cech opisywanego systemu logistycznego jest wykorzystywanie w koncepcji VMI – Vendor Management Inventory, która zakłada, że producent/dostawca sam generuje zamówienia na rzecz klienta na podstawie otrzymanych od niego informacji. Wiąże się to niestety z koniecznością wzięcia odpowiedzialności przez przedsiębiorstwo X nie tylko za odpowiednie zaopatrzenie własnego procesu produkcyjnego, ale także swoich klientów.

LOGISTICS CHAIN MANAGEMENT IN THE PRODUCTION PROCESS OF POWDER COATINGS
Abstract
The purpose of this article is to present the logistics chain management system and practical problems in managing the company X, a manufacturer of powder coatings. One of the characteristic features of the scrutinised system is the use of logistics as the concept of VMI – Vendor Management Inventory. It assumes that the manufacturer/supplier generates the orders on the behalf of the customer on the basis of information received from them. Unfortunately, this involves the necessity to take responsibility by company X not only for the adequate supply of own production process, but also that of their customers.
