Streszczenie
W niniejszym artykule autorzy podejmują próbę identyfikacji barier, które stanowią przeszkody na drodze ku innowacyjnej gospodarce oraz poszukają odpowiedzi na pytanie, czy Polska jest zainteresowana rozwijaniem innowacyjności. Dla zrealizowania tak sformułowanego celu w artykule omówiono stan wdrażania innowacji w Polsce, etapy wdrażania innowacji i na tej podstawie zidentyfikowano główne bariery dla rozwoju innowacji w Polsce.

Summary
In this article authors attempt to identify the obstacles that present the hindrance to the innovation economy and search for the answers whether Poland is interested in developing innovation or not. In the article in order to accomplish this formulated goal has been discussed the role of innovation and science-innovation policy in economic theory, the level of implementation of innovation in Poland, the stages of implementation of innovation and on this bases identified the main obstacles to innovation in Poland.
