THE GLOBAL ECONOMIC CRISIC AND THE CONDITION OF POLISH FOREIGN TRADE IN 2009
Summary
The global economic crisis started in the second half of 2007 with a severe slump in property market in USA, followed by perturbations in financial markets in America and later in other countries. The financial crisis caused a deterioration and deep recession in world’s economy which strongly influenced international trade, especially in 2009.
The paper analyses the results in Polish foreign trade in 2009, with a special emphasis put on changes in turnover size and structure. The author also tries to come up with an assessment of how the global financial and economic crisis has influenced Polish export-import companies.
