NUMBER OF FIRMS IN THE ECONOMY OF THE REGION
Summary
The 90’s of the 20th century in Poland are a period of economic development. Freedom of establishing and carrying on a business was caused rising new, mainly small fi rms. The structure of the fi rms population has changed, quantity of big one has decreasing and a quantity of small one has increasing. Optional amount of fi rms can be calculated according to Hozer’s theory Quantum Satis, as a relation of households amount to the economic entities, which should amounted about fi re. The paper presented analysis of this rate in Zachodniopomorskie voivodship, in powiats and gminas in years 1995–2007.
