Abstract
The theory of competence, that was formulated in the 90s, defines competence as the main factor of the competitive predominance of a modern enterprise in chngeable and unstable envirnonment. For this reason there is a necessity to consiter the problem of quality in a company taking into account the issue of copetence - both on the enterprise’s and employee’s level. The usage of competence management theory gives the opportunity not only to identify competence that is essential for the quality goals of the organization but also helps to examine the real status of competence among employees. Moreover the process of competence management enable the formation of a strategic model of quality management. The model stress an importance of core competence that is unique solution applies by a company to reach higher level of quality.
