Streszczenie
Artykuł poświęcono kwestii unijnej polityki handlowej w kontekście multi- i bilateralizmu. Jego celem jest próba odpowiedzi na pytanie, czy Polska wykorzystała szansę, jaką daje unijno-koreańska umowa o wolnym handlu? W pierwszej części przedstawiono zarys powstania wielostronnego sytemu handlu i motywy podpisywania przez Unię bilateralnych i regionalnych porozumień handlowych. Drugą część poświecono historii kontaktów unijno-koreańskich, w tym umowie o wolnym handlu, która weszła w życie w lipcu 2011 roku. Przedstawiono efekty podpisanej umowy związane ze zniesieniem barier w handlu. Trzecia część pracy to analiza wymiany handlowej UE-27 i Polski z Koreą Południową

THE DEVELOPMENT OF BILATERAL TRADE RELATIOONS EUROPEAN UNION–SOUTH KOREA AND THEIR IMPACT ON POLISH TRADE WITH SOUTH KOREA
Summary
The article discussed some issues related to the EU’s trade policy in the context of multi- and bilateralism. The aim of this study was to answer the question whether Poland has used the opportunity afforded by the EU-South Korean free trade agreement. The first part presents an outline of the creation of the multilateral trading system and the creation of the European Union. In this part there is also a short description of motives to sign bilateral and regional trade agreements by EU. The second part is devoted to describe the history of economic relations between the EU and Korea, including a free trade agreement, which came into force in July 2011. It shows the effects of the signed agreement in relation to elimination of barriers in trade. The third part of the paper is an analysis of trade between EU-27, Poland and South Korea.
