Streszczenie
Celem artykułu jest przedstawienie przyczyn, istoty i konsekwencji utworzenia Euroazjatyckiej Unii Gospodarczej (EUG). Problematyka ta jest nowym zagadnieniem i dlatego nie znalazła jeszcze odbicia w literaturze przedmiotu.
W artykule posłużono się metodą opisowo-analityczną opierając się na artykułach zawartych w czasopismach, informacjach uzyskanych z Internetu i publikacjach organizacji międzynarodowych.
EUG nadal jest w fazie tworzenia. Trudno przewidzieć, czy uda się zrealizować stawiane jej cele. Wyrażane są przy tym obawy, że EUG będzie służyć zdominowaniu przez Rosję innych krajów członkowskich czy nawet odbudowie dawnego ZSRR. Jednakże te zagadnienia te ze względu na polityczny charakter nie zostały szczegółowo zbadane przez autorów, którzy świadomie skoncentrowali się na aspektach ekonomicznych.

THE EURASIAN ECONOMIC UNION – AN ATTEMPT TO REVIVE THE INSTITUTIONAL ECONOMIC INTEGRATION IN THE FORMER SOVIET UNION
Abstract
The purpose of the paper is to present the causes, nature and consequences of the creation of the Eurasian Economic Union (EEU). The issue of EEU is new and therefore has so far found little attention in the literature. The authors of the paper use descriptive and analytical method based on the journal articles, information obtained from the Internet and publications of international organizations. EEU is still under construction. It is difficult to predict whether its objectives will be achieved. Some concerns are expressed that the EEU will serve Russia’s domination of other Member States or even the reconstruction of the former USSR. Due to the political nature, these issues are not examined in detail by the authors, who have deliberately focused on the economic aspects of the EEU.
