Streszczenie
W artykule podjęto próbę określenia roli wskaźników intensywności handlu wewnątrzgałęziowego w mierzeniu międzynarodowej pozycji konkurencyjnej gospodarek. W tym celu niezbędne było uporządkowanie głównych koncepcji dotyczących podstaw teorii konkurencyjności oraz metod mierzenia międzynarodowej pozycji konkurencyjnej gospodarek. Badanie oparto na analizie najważniejszych pozycji polskiej i zagranicznej literatury związanej z tymi zagadnieniami. W części wnioskowej wykazano, że wskaźniki intensywności handlu wewnątrzgałęziowego mają wszystkie najważniejsze cechy gwarantujące rzetelność międzynarodowych badan porównawczych i pozwalają określić, na jakim etapie rozwoju międzynarodowej konkurencyjności znajduje się dana gospodarka.

INTRA-INDUSTRY TRADE – MEASURER OF INTERNATIONAL COMPETITIVENESS OF ECONOMIES
Abstract
The article attempts to determine the role of intra-industry trade indicators in measuring international competitive position of economies. To this end, it proved to be necessary to present the main concepts of the theory of economic competitiveness and methods of measuring of the international competitiveness of economies. The research was based on an analysis of the most important Polish and foreign literature related to these issues. In the conclusions, it has been shown that the intra-industry trade indices have all the essential features to ensure the integrity of international comparative research and help to determine what is the actual stage of development of the international competitiveness of the economy.
