Streszczenie
W niniejszym artykule zaprezentowano przeprowadzone w województwie warmińsko-mazurskim badanie, którego celem była ocena oddziaływania wybranych miast na środowisko w kontekście ich strategii rozwoju zrównoważonego. Sformułowano następujący problem badawczy: czy istnieje związek pomiędzy strategiami rozwoju miast a oddziaływaniem tych miast na środowisko? Władze badanych miast w coraz większym zakresie uwzględniają kwestię oddziaływania miasta na środowisko, co jest bezpośrednio związane z ich otoczeniem ekologicznym. Pojęcie rozwoju zrównoważonego w wielu przypadkach traktowane jest instrumentalnie w celu pozyskania środków rozwojowych.

ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT OF THE CITY IN THE CONTEXT OF SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT
Abstract
This article is the presentation of a research conducted in the Warmia-Mazury region. The aim of research was the assessment of the environmental impact of the selected towns in the context of their sustainable development strategy. The research problem that has been formulated in this case is the following: is there a link between urban development strategies and the impact of these cities on the environment? The authorities of the examined cities increasingly take into account the issue of the impact on the environment of the city, which is directly related to their ecological environment. The concept of sustainability in many cases is treated instrumentally in order to obtain development funds.
