Streszczenie
W artykule poruszono problematykę konkurencyjności i innowacyjności regionu Bałkanów Zachodnich na przykładzie Czarnogóry. Celem poniższego artykułu jest wskazanie głównego sektora gospodarki wpływającego na wzrost gospodarczy Czarnogóry oraz zaproponowanie innowacji w tym sektorze w ramach strategii Europa 2020. Czarnogóra, postrzegana jako lider regionu w negocjacjach akcesyjnych, może stać się przykładem innowacyjnego podejścia w wykorzystaniu szans, jakie daje dostęp do funduszy Instrumentu Pomocy Przedakcesyjnej (IPA), którego głównym celem jest pobudzanie wzrostu gospodarczego oraz wzrost konkurencyjności kraju kandydującego do Unii Europejskiej.

THE ROLE OF INNOVATION AND COMPETITIVENESS IN THE DEVELOPMENT OF THE WESTERN BALKANS REGIONS ON THE EXAMPLE OF MONTENEGRO
Abstract
The article shows the problem question of competitiveness and innovativeness of the Western Balkans regions on the example of Montenegro. The purpose of this article is the search for the main sector of the economy affecting the economic growth of Montenegro and to propose innovations in this sector within the framework of the Europe 2020 strategy. Montenegro, which is seen as a leader in the region in the accession negotiations could become an example of an innovative approach in the use of the opportunities that gives you access to the funds of the IPA, whose main objective is to stimulate economic growth and increase competitiveness of the candidate country to the European Union.
