STRESZCZENIE
W artykule przedstawiono zmiany w wydatkach na odzież i obuwie w europejskich gospodarstwach domowych. Analizę przeprowadzono z wykorzystaniem metod skupień – Warda i k-średnich. W wyniku przeprowadzonego badania utworzono skupienia gospodarstw
domowych o podobnym udziale wydatków na odzież i obuwie oraz podobnym tempie zmian tych wydatków w latach 1995–2012. Polska znajduje się w wśród krajów z relatywnie niskimi wydatkami na odzież i obuwie. Największe wydatki na odzież i obuwie ponoszono w Norwegii i Luksemburgu. Mieszkańcy Węgier, Republiki Czeskiej oraz Bułgarii, to osoby, które najmniej przeznaczają na odzież i obuwie. Największe dodatnie średnioroczne tempo zmian wydatków na odzież i obuwie zaobserwowano w Estonii, na Litwie, Łotwie, w Polsce i na Słowacji.

A COMPARATIVE ANALYSIS OF HOUSEHOLDS EXPENDITURE ON CLOTHINGAND FOOTWEAR IN THE EUROPEAN COUNTRIES
Abstract
The aim of this paper is to analyze the household expenditure on clothing and footwear in the European countries. The research problems concern such issues as: an indication of the degree of differentiation and the rate of change in households expenditure on clothing and footwear in 1995–2012; a comparison of the expenditure on clothing and footwear and Clusters Analysis of European countries grouped by the similar share of clothing and footwear expenditure in the total expenditure of households. I used two clustering methods in the following study. The selection of the countries for cluster analysis was based on the value of the Tabular Accuracy Index.
