Streszczenie
W artykule przedstawiono definicję dywersyfikacji równoległej W artykule przedstawiono sposoby opisu struktur przestrzennych, których konstrukcja jest uzależniona od charakteru badanych zjawisk. Zwrócono uwagę na różnorodność określeń przestrzeni, ich rodzaje i cechy. Podano sformalizowany sposób identyfikacji struktur przestrzennych, która jest niezbędna do precyzyjnego interpretowania zachodzących w nich procesów. Opracowanie zawiera porównawcze zestawienie możliwości opisu dynamiki zachowań w ekonomicznych strukturach przestrzennych przy pomocy matematycznych modeli opisowych, w których główną rolę odgrywają równania różniczkowe, różnicowe i ekonometryczne.

ON SELECTED FORMS OF DESCRIBING THE DYNAMICS OF ECONOMIC SPATIAL STRUCTURES
Summary
Space is a notion which is usually understood intuitively. In most cases, however, such an understanding is insufficient to describe or carefully examine this concept. Space is a key notion in many scientific disciplines – they use terms such as public, social and private space. Mathematicians define various types of spaces, for instance the Euclidean space, the Banach space, or the Minkowski space. In fact, each phenomenon is related to space. The use of space in economics also requires a precise definition of this term. The higher the expectations about a specific application of this term, the more precise definition is required. In the paper an attempt is made to both approach, in a systematic way, the issues of identification and description of space by means of quantitative methods, and to compare and contrast several methods of modelling the changes in economic spatial structures over time.
