Summary

In the era of present challenges enterprises become more knowledge-oriented organizations what brings a demand for a new type of employee – knowledge employee. One of the most important goal for management in XXI century is to achieve productivity growth by knowledge employee. To meet these challenges one makes high demands from managers. Managers’ competencies are crucial in the role-playing what requires the permanent improvement. The article presents an overview of competencies of knowledge-oriented managers and the idea of competencies’ improvement.
