Streszczenie
Celem artykułu jest przedstawienie istoty wiedzy, jej rodzajów oraz znaczenie zarządzania nią. Ponadto w artykule wskazano na możliwość wykorzystania controllingu na potrzeby wspomagania zarządzania wiedzą w przedsiębiorstwie. W artykule badano przydatność controllingu do kształtowania zasobów wiedzy w przedsiębiorstwie, w tym celu zastosowano metodę analizy źródeł, a także metody dedukcji i indukcji. Przedsiębiorstwo może osiągnąć przewagę konkurencyjną, jeśli ma wiedzę odróżniającą ją od konkurentów. Istotne jest więc określenie wiedzy potrzebnej do realizowania strategii przedsiębiorstwa, umożliwiającej jego rozwój w długim okresie. Controlling zorientowany na wspomaganie zarządzania wiedzą dostarcza wielu narzędzi pomiaru wiedzy i kapitału intelektualnego. Do jego głównych zadań należy wspieranie planowania, kontrolowania oraz sterowania, przepływu oraz wykorzystania wiedzy w jednostce gospodarczej.

Summary
This article presents the essence of knowledge, its types and importance of knowledge manage-ment. In addition, the article indicates the possibility of use of controlling for supporting knowledge management in the enterprise. In the paper an author examined the usefulness of controlling to form knowledge resources in the company. In the article the author used the method of analysis of the sources and methods of deduction and induction. The company can achieve the competitive advantage if it has knowledge that distinguishes the enterprise from competitors. Therefore it is important to determine the knowledge needed to implement the business strategy and enabling its development in the long term. Controlling oriented to support knowledge management provides a number of tools to measure knowledge and intellectual capital. Its main task is to support the planning, monitoring, and control the creation, movement and use of knowledge in the enterprise.
