Summary
This article presents the substance of the case study and the procedures for their conduct in management accounting. In the first part of the paper will be presented to the impact of normative and positive approaches to research methods in accounting. Then will be displayed the essence of case study and the procedures to be followed when using this method. At the end of the article will presented the application of this method in empirical research in management accounting.
