Streszczenie
Podstawowym czynnikiem atrakcyjności inwestycyjnej regionu jest rozwinięta infrastruktura transportowa i społeczna. Województwo kujawsko-pomorskie w tym zakresie na tle całego kraju prezentuje się relatywnie słabo. Niska jakość infrastruktury drogowej i problemy z przepustowością dotyczą zwłaszcza jednego z głównych miast regionu - Torunia. Jedną z możliwości poprawy tej sytuacji jest wykorzystanie środków finansowych dostępnych w ramach polityki spójności Unii Europejskiej. Artykuł przedstawia opis zadań inwestycyjnych realizowanych przez miasto Toruń i współfinansowanych ze środków Unii Europejskiej. Analizie poddano także wpływ tych przedsięwzięć na stan miejskich finansów.

THE USE OF EUROPEAN FUNDS IN INVESTING ACTIVITIES OF TORUN
Streszczenie
The primary factor of investment attractiveness of the region is developed transport and social infrastructure. Kujawsko-Pomorskie voivodship in this area comparing to the whole country is relatively weak. Poor quality of road infrastructure and capacity problems relate to one of the major cities of the region - Torun. One possibility to improve this situation is to use funds available under the EU's cohesion policy. This article presents a description of investment projects implemented by the city of Torun and co-financed by the European Union as well as the impact of these projects on municipal finances.
